But but … what’s for the main course?! That tiny little thing wouldn’t last me for a whole morning.. I’d have to go the Hobbit way (Breakfast, second Breakfast, Elevenses, etc..).

As a note of interest, I had great success getting a low A1C by low-carbing, but then once I got pregnant all my health care people were suddenly adamant that I should be eating 100g of carbs per day as a minimum.

All my practice with low-carb blood sugar control became useless. I wished I had known to practice eating more carbs before-hand.

Emily thanks for sharing that - did they explain why you needed 100grams of carb per day?

They say that it’s been found to be the “nutritional requirement” for growing a baby. I’ve heard it from a few different people, but I’m not sure what the original source of the data is.
